Implementing the first phase of the maintenance master for Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R), the new facilities increase on-site operations but maintaining the same development footprint. The maintenance yards will operate uninterrupted during the multi-phased development. The project team, PP&R and a 35-person community board created a phased master plan with a concentrated footprint that added offices for approximately 150 staff and a two-level parking structure. It creates modern work/storage warehouses for landscape, carpentry, painting, welding, ball-fields maintenance, and plant production.
Lando and Associates is leading the site sustainability efforts, the new south tabor bike and pedestrian park entry and capping all structures with vegetated roofs and walls. We are also collaborating and leading the landscape design with local artist Adam Kuby.
